Life would be ecstasy, you and me endlessly

. . . Groovin' . . . on a Sunday afternoon.

What a beautiful Sunday! The sun was shining, the air was crisp, the way it is just as Fall is approaching. We hung out at home, the girls played outside, and I practiced driving Steven's car. I have done this before, practiced that is, but it's been awhile. And while I am perfectly content with driving my automatic, I would like to learn how to drive stick too.

So off we went to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner and on the way home we stopped by the school parking lot. It was empty (since that's the only way I will drive his car at this point) and we switched places. I was so nervous. I hate not feeling in control and with that car I feel soooo out of control! But I did it. I drove it around and around and around the parking lot, oh, about a million times. I need a lot more practice, but I didn't do too bad I don't think. Steven was really patient with me and he was a good teacher, even as I was grinding the gears *cringe*. He pretty much forced me to drive home, saying I could do it, he knew I could. Since we live in the same neighborhood as the school, I finally gave in. AND I DID IT! I was so proud of myself!!! We made it home, no stalling, no near death experiences, nothing! Woo! Go me!
I think we'll practice again soon, while I still have the motivation.
