Voices of the past

My parents went to visit my Grandpa last week. They went through my Gram's stuff (she saved everything). There were many treasures found, among them a tape that my brothers and I had recorded for my Gram when were kids. When I was 5 I got one of these My First Sony's:

I used to go around with my microphone and record endlessly. This tape was a product of that. It was hilarious!!! It's mainly me, no surprise there, and some bits and pieces of my brothers. I must have been 6 or 7, making Tim 2ish and Dan 1ish. It was surreal hearing myself talk. Nana sounds just like me. It's creepy. I felt the need to serenade my Gram with my rendition of I Had the Time of My Life. HOLY CRAP, was that funny. I was in tears by the time it was over. Then there were my brothers singing their versions of the ABC's. That was just cute. It took me back to those days, when as siblings, we were closer to each other than anyone else. We fought constantly, but when push can to shove, we were lost without one and other. It was good to hear those voices of the past. Now I have them echoing in my ears, a reminder of what once was.

FUN! What a neat memory to have and cherish. Siblings are great, even when you fight or are not as close as you have been in the past. Thanks for sharing!
